BrainWave Freeware
BrainWave is an all-in-one software tool for acquiring data with the BioCAM system, for playing-back offline and to analyze and export your data. It is available for Windows XP, Vista and 7, 64-bit.
You can download a fully working free version from here. This version includes all the available tools, with the exception of the ones that require the BioCAM acquisition systems.

BrwExtReader is a library that can be used to read BrainWave data files (BRW-files). The .NET framework 3.0 or higher needs to be installed. The library can also be accessed from MATLAB starting with release 2009a.

Spontaneous activity of a dissociated hippocampal cultures at 32DIVs, seeded at a nominal concentration of 1000 cells/ul.
This dataset shows spontaneous activity organized in synchronous bursts that mainly initiate from the bottom left and bottom right area of the array. Strong single spike events and short trains of activity can be easily identified. Data kindly provided by IIT.

Electrical activity recorded from acute brain tissue of the cortico-hippocampal circuit under perfusion of 4-AP and bicuculline.
This dataset shows activity propagation of inter-ictal events induced by 4AP and bicuculline. Spreading of field potential is concentrated in the hippocampal area (middle-up area of the array) while only one event propagates along the cortex (right area of the array). Data kindly provided by IIT.
