BioCAM 4096
BioCAM 4096 is the first commercially available large-scale high-resolution platform capable to manage microelectrode array (MEA) of 4096 channels. BioCAM 4096 enables real-time acquisitions of extracellular electrophysiological signals at unprecendent spatial and temporal resolutions. BioCAM 4096 is mainly used in research laboratories for exhaustive electrophysiological analysis of extracellular signaling in in-vitro cell networks and tissues. All our versions of BioChip 4096 are compatible with the same BioCAM 4096.
- 4096 electrodes: BioCAM 4096 acquires and samples up to 4096 incoming signals at 7.5 KHz and converts them into a suitable format for the fast transmission to the host PC;
- Real-time visualization: Signals are arranged adopting concepts used in the video field. Data are organized in frames that help the real-time visualization as a video sequence of the sensed activity;
- Convenient size for combined use under microscopes: BioCAM 4096 measures only 195x168x41mm. This geometry makes it particularly suitable to access biological preparation with up-right microscopes and to use the system within many customized experimental setups. The working area containing the BioChip can be easily accessed and is adequate with the parallel use of micromanipulators and perfusion systems;
- Region Of Interest: If you need a higher time resolution you can record from smaller areas of the electrode array;
- All types of electrogenic cells: this advanced neuroelectronic interfacing platform can be used for acute experiments (e.g. brain slices, retina) as well as on dissociated preparations (e.g. neuronal cultures, cardiomiocytes).
